Savant Syndrome - A narrow AI Model?

Savants are those few people who are mostly autistic and are exhibit excellent brain abilities  into one specific task or similar tasks but have poor skills  or low mental performance in most areas or eg. Rain Man movie, based on real life savant  Kim Peek. H was thought to be having autism but later diagnosed to be suffering from Fragile X syndrome.

What narrow AI have come around so far?

Narrow AI is a model that is excellent at solving one particular task or problem like image recognition, self driving vehicles, chatbots, even ChatGPT. If trained on big data they can lead to foundation models.

What are foundation models?

A foundation model is any model that is trained on broad data and that can be adapted to aide range of downstream tasks, current examples
